An idea borrowed from astsupportaali to help students master key terminology. The resource helps students learn specific literacy terms for a topic, in a more engaging manner. The example below is used for the vast amount of difficult key words needed to score highly in the AQA Science ISA controlled assessments.
The students cut out the two parts of the wheel and link them together with a split pin, then test each other on the meaning of each word. Parents are also able to assist the students at home learning the key words by simply selecting a key word from the wheel and checking the students answer.
The principle can be extended to any subject and any topic to enhance literacy. A customisable word version can be found on below along with the key word wheel I use for science
